This program is funded by Canadian Women’s Foundation. Its main objective is to address gender-based violence, as a result of the spike in domestic violence during the pandemic. It offers a safe space for participants to discuss their experiences in order to begin the process of healing. The program aims to implement a preventative, informative and supportive approach. The informative and preventative aspects include conversations/workshops in such areas as; boundaries, problem solving skills, consent, healthy and unhealthy relationships etc. We support our clients by connecting them to the appropriate community resources and services. The program also includes self defense classes, that will empower participants by teaching them how to protect themselves.
